COVID 19 Public Awareness and Education Campaign Garners Another Award
RSE was once again awarded for its work on the Your Actions Save Lives and Vaccinate ALL 58 public education campaign to keep Californians safer from COVID-19. The agency was honored this time as part of the 2022 Public Relations and Marketing Intelligence Awards by Business Intelligence Group for “External Campaign of the Year.”
RSE has led the revolutionary campaign in partnership with Governor Gavin Newsom’s office and the California Department of Public Health since October 2020, amid one of the biggest health crises in California’s history. The campaign focuses on curbing the spread of COVID-19, protecting populations and saving lives through behaviors such as vaccinations, boosters, masking and testing. To meet these ambitious goals, RSE spearheaded a team of 12 partners comprising hundreds of communicators spanning earned, paid, owned and social specialties with experts reaching California’s ethnically diverse audiences.
“We are extremely proud of what we and our partners have accomplished throughout the life of this campaign,” RSE President Chris Holben said. “Although the circumstances that the campaign rose from were unprecedented, we are honored to have helped pioneer new ways of reaching California’s diverse populations.”
The agency was given special recognition for its work formulating innovative and creative partnerships,providing materials to leverage and empower trusted messengers including hundreds of community- and faith-based organizations, and creating a 360-degree in-language paid and earned media program all serving audiences disproportionately impacted by the pandemic.
